Blog Post #3: Egypt Project Reflections

EGYPT PROJECT REFLECTION
The activities that helped me most on this project were the ones that helped me know who was higher on the pyramid. The videos also helped because it showed what the play could be like, if we were doing something wrong and the video was right we could correct our selfs because of the videos. I would like to know more about what the pharaohs were like as in if they were nice or if they were mean. I would also like to know how scribes learned how to right and why they were the only ones and why they didn't teach other people. We could have done better and not laughed when we introduced our selfs and when M.C. puppets close fell of and we laughed. All in all I think we did pretty good. Yes we did do our share except I was sick on one of our groups recording days and T.U. was sick on the other recording day. If we could redo this project we would make sure nobody was sick on the day we recorded and there would be no laughing and that we would not let the audience see our armes when we go up to say some thing. I think we had a pretty good project we could of done better and we could work on our puppet voices, we could also work on the timing of when we say our lines. I think that we could work on our puppet voices because it not as fun if our puppet has the same voice as us. I think we can do better with our timing because sometimes too puppets said lines at the same time.

Blog Post #2: Group Dynamics

I usually help other people in my group, I talk to the other kids in my group a lot. I don't usually take leadership in my group, I wait till a leader in my group needs help. I take this role because there are a lot of leaders in my group and not very many people helping them. I do like taking this role. I like working with my friends because we can communicate better if we know each other that if we didn't no each other. Pros: Better communication and easier to talk to. Cons: More talking than working (only sometimes). We really don't have very many conflicts. If we have a conflict it is usually some one copying and pasting random words into our script or into our writing. To resolve this we just tell the person to stop and that they are wasting time. It works because then they remember that they are trying to get a good grade and then they stop fooling around. Nobody in our group dominates it there are a few leaders but they help each other and don't try to dominate the group. The worst group situation was when we didn't finish the SAS project and got a bad grade on it. It was the worst because we could't get along and we couldn't decide who would do what. The best situation was when my group won the civilisation competition. It was the best group situation because we all got along and put in effort and we tied for first.
